The Karić Brothers Foundation at the 68th Belgrade International Book Fair

At the 68th Belgrade International Book Fair, held from October 25 to November 2 and bringing together more than 400 exhibitors, with the Republic of Cyprus as Guest of Honor, the Karić Brothers Foundation took part with a thoughtfully designed program centered on books, conversation, and shared experience.

Throughout the day, informal conversations unfolded over tea, creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. These moments allowed visitors to exchange impressions, discover the Foundation’s work more closely, and take part in a more personal kind of cultural experience.

Workshops and presentations added another layer to the program. Through the Creative Pen sessions, as well as through conversations with writers and editors, visitors were invited to take part, ask questions, and experience the creative process from within.

The program also included lectures by Prof. Dr. Marijana Joksimović, Prof. Lidija Madžar, and Prof. Ivan Đekić, organized in collaboration with ALFA BK University and its publishing division. These talks opened meaningful discussions and brought academic perspectives closer to a wider audience.

A particularly important moment of the Foundation’s participation was the promotion of the book May the Neighbor’s Cow Come Back to Life by Dana Karić.

May the Neighbor’s Cow Come Back to Life

Dana Karić Stojilković, artist and President of the Karić Brothers Foundation, has long been dedicated to connecting art, education, and humanitarian work. Through the Foundation, she supports initiatives that bring people closer through culture and shared values.

At the fair, she presented her new book to an audience that included readers, friends, and long-time supporters. The book explores relationships between people, the ways we understand one another, and the small, often overlooked moments that shape those connections. It carries a tone that combines reflection with warmth and gentle humor.

Following the presentation, Dana Karić remained in conversation with visitors, continuing the exchange in a direct and personal way, allowing the book to reach readers beyond the formal setting.

For many years, the Karić Brothers Foundation has been dedicated to promoting education, culture, and dialogue. Through publishing, cultural programs, and humanitarian initiatives, it continues to create spaces where people can meet, share ideas, and grow together.

At the Book Fair, this mission was visible in every interaction, from conversations at the stand to encounters between authors and readers. The presentation of Dana Karić’s book stood as a meaningful part of that shared experience.
